Definition
Stitching is the process of aligning, remapping and blending images together in order to form a seamless panorama
For more details see How stitching works.
Usage
Stitching is usually performed by the panotools GUI front-ends but can also be done by command line applications where the single steps are distributed between several programs:
- aligning: PTOptimizer
- remapping: PTStitcher, PTMender or nona
- exposure and vignetting correction: vig_optimize
- blending: enblend or smartblend
