This software isn't available any more.

MakeCubic is no longer provided by Apple. It is a Classic application provided free by Apple for basic conversion of equirectangular sources to QuicktimeVR cubic movies. MakeCubic was available on Apple's Quicktime developers tools page. You can find an archive version of the Quicktime developers tools page here.
