XCode
First of all: thanks for the description! XCode can also be installed from the system DVD. Is there a reason why one should start such a huge download instead or should we mention the offline install option, too? --Carl 19:41, 8 February 2008 (CET)

libtool
bootstrap complains about the wrong version of libtool. It seems that it's finding the system libtool because the port installs at glibtool.
Unfortuantely, setting LIBTOOLIZE=glibtool gets me "unrecognized option `--force'"
thoughts? will keep hacking.
