QuickTime Virtual Reality is a subset of the functionality of Apple Quicktime player. It refers to the ability to display spherical panoramas in Cubic Projection, cylindrical or partial panoramas in a viewer where the user can move around using the mouse and keyboard. The panoramas can be linked through hotspots in order to move from one panorama to the other.

Whereas the competitors (like PTViewer or SPi-V) are continously improved there was no major development in QTVR the last years. See Quicktime for more information.
