pfstools is a set of command line (and one GUI) programs for reading, writing, manipulating and viewing high-dynamic range HDR images and video frames. The concept of the pfstools is similar to netpbm package for low-dynamic range images.

Related software includes PFScalibration for combining bracketed photos to HDR and pfstmo for a collection of tone mapping operators.

qpfstmo is a GUI for generating tone-mapped images with pfstmo. qtpfsgui is another GUI for ptstools.

pfstools supports a number of image formats including RAW, EXR, RGBE radiance .hdr, floating-point TIFF and anything supported by ImageMagick.
