QTVRAS or QuickTime VR Authoring Studio is a program by Apple to stitch images and output in different QuickTime VR formats. As of May 2005 this software is still sold in the initial release version 1.0 from 1997, however in 1998 Apple released the only update to version 1.0.1 which is available at http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=30817 . QTVRAS still works in the Classic environment of OS X.
QTVRAS can be used to
- stitch cylindrical panoramas (sorry no cubic...)
- convert flat files with cylindrical projection to single or even multinode QTVR movie files.
- embed hotspots
- create object movies
