GraphicConverter is a useful image manipulation application for Mac OS X and Classic. GC can import and export a wide range of image file formats, can batch process and is AppleScript scriptable. You can also scan images since it supports TWAIN and Photoshop Plug-Ins. This also makes it an alternative to Photoshop e.g. for the use of Kevin Kratzke's LensFix and PanoTools Plug-Ins for Mac OS X.
